If you want the energetic version of Elvis singing Suspicious Minds, you will see Elvis really revving it up on stage at his performance in 1970 live in Las Vegas concert. It’s always great to watch Elvis, but watching Elvis dancing while singing, well that takes it up to another level, & I think many Elvis fans prefer his 1970 Las Vegas performance, because Elvis was known for his dancing as well as for his singing.

Elvis was only 22 when he did this, & as he got older, his vocal cords got stronger with all the singing he was doing, & deepened as he matured. If you listen to Elvis singing in the 1950s & then in the 1960s, & finally in the 1970s, both his singing & talking voice deepened. At this age, in the 50s, he naturally had more physical energy than in the 1970s, but at the beginning of the 70s, he still had lots of energy, when performing songs like Suspicious Minds at the Las Vegas 1970 performance, & also Poke Salad Annie at the same Las Vegas concert. He was 6ft tall, so that’s a lot of height to be dancing all around the stage. This performance of Jailhouse Rock was done for the movie of the same name.
